As I said earlier, there is an abundance of information available on the Web already, if we can just find it when we need it. I sometimes try to plan ahead by including certain Web pages in my Favorites that I think I might need along the way. Hopefully, many of the ones I might need will already be here if and when I do need them. So, rather than do what others have already done, I will suggest some of my favorites. This page will of course grow as I discover new ones. Maybe you have some favorites that you think might help others. If so, feel free to send them to me and I will try to add them to the list. Remember though, that just adding them here will not help any one if you do not tell your friends about this page. Lets use it for a resource for everyone. All of the following links will open up in a new window.A good page for finding all kinds of neat programs, shareware, reviews, ect., is www.32bit.com. To learn all you wanted to know about modems w/buyers guides, strings, and more, www.56k.com. One of my often visited sites, used for finding drivers for all your devices is www.conitech.com/windows/upmenu.asp. A great all around site for drivers, bugs & fixes, tips & tricks, ect., is www.winfiles.com/ And do you EVER have problems with Windows 98? Check this site out www.annoyances.org/cgi-bin/ce-showtopics/005. I guess I have read almost every page of this one. VERY GOOD !! Any Windows NT users out there? Here's one for you www.ntfaq.com/. I really encourage you to visit and spend some time at www.thirdage.com. There are some easy to follow screens for learning e-mail, browsing, and much more. Give this site a try ! Among others, click on their "tech" button. Scroll towards the bottom of the page and look at their "Brain Buster Tutorials", "Tools", and "Features". Here's one my good friend Kelly Miller reminded me of for finding drivers www.windrivers.com. Another friend, Sheila Wallen, sent two of her favorite links: www.starthere.com for beginners and www.albion.com/netiquette/book/index.html for learning some good manners while surfing. Everyone needs and "ace in the hole". Mine is Terry Webb. He and I have worked through some really tough situations together. He's a real asset to have on your side. He sent me http://www.whatis.com. Here you will find definitions for all those acronyms that we throw around, and more. Quite by mishap, I ran across a web site that might just come in handy. I haven't had time to spend very much time here, but it really looks like one that many of you might find useful. It is about health and healthy living. It has a resource for medications, diseases, when to take medicines, side effects, ect. It can be found at http://www.webmd.com.
